The Minglewood Series - Lukas Nelson + Promise of the Real

My son, Cory, brought Willie Nelson's son, Lukas - and his band Promise of the Real, to Minglewood Hall in Memphis on October 25, 2023.

Willie and I are now bonded forever in the Fraternal Order of Proud Dads.

I previously saw Lukas and Promise of the Real serving as Neil Young's band on the first night of the 2016 Beale St. Music Festival - known far and wide for the 36 minute version of "Down by River" to open the set.

The Minglewood show was a "no pit" shoot. Everything had to be taken from the fringes of the crowd or at the front of house booth - so you'll see silhouettes of a head or two in every photo.
