TAB BENOIT

Tab is a bluesman from Houma, Louisiana. "I Hear Thunder," released in 2024, is Tab's most recent album.

He's been playing the same Fender Telecaster for most of his career. On stage, he uses no pedals or effects. It's just him, a 1972 Telecaster, and a specifically designed Category 5 amp.

Tab's three piece band included New Orleans drummer Terence Higgins (Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Warren Haynes Band, Alan Toussaint, George Porter, Jr.).

After opening with a blistering rendition of Medicine, the set list included Fever for the Bayou, Long Lonely Bayou (Tab solo), New Orleans Ladies, Nothing Takes the Place of You, and Night Train, among others.
The encores were Still Gray and I Hear Thunder.

Thanks for stopping by.
