It's the late 1960's and early 1970's:

Take legendary producer, engineer, and musician Jim Dickinson (keyboards); mix in Memphis musicians Sid Selvidge (guitar), Lee Baker (guitar), and Jimmy Crosthwait (percussion, washboard); infuse with some Memphis jug band tunes and country blues influenced chaos; and you get Mudboy and the Neutrons: who Bob Dylan described as "that great band nobody can find." /1

Forty years later:

Take brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson, Steve Selvidge, and Ben Baker; add in friends Paul Taylor and John Shaw; bring to a boil; and you get Sons of Mudboy carrying on their parents' jug band and Memphis/country blues legacy. /2

These shots are from the Sons of Mudboy show at Memphis's Minglewood Hall on April 3, 2013.
