Telling all the stars her name

Hoping they just tell her, hey

And I love ya, baby

I love ya, baby

Running all through my brain

Wishing that I could stay

And just hold you, baby

Just hold ya, baby

("Apollo" - SPBB)

If you know, you know.

However, if you have yet to turn on to St. Paul & The Broken Bones, drop everything you're doing and do so now! You'll be better off for it.

Close your eyes and listen - you would swear lead vocalist Paul Janeway was Al Green, or at least related.

Funky R&B grooves, southern soul, a fantabulos horn section - this group has it all.

Memphian Al Gamble on keyboards (previously with Preston Shannon, The Bo-Keys, Gamble Brothers, City Champs) adds a bit of local flavor to the sound.

The following shots are from SPBB's October 16, 2025, appearance at Minglewood Hall in Memphis:

My favorite tunes from the show, as if I could narrow it down to just a few: Apollo, Flow With It (You Got Me Feeling Like), Sitting in the Corner, and Sanctify.

As an added bonus, here's a shot from their previous show at Minglewood Hall two years earlier on October 23, 2023:

As an extra added bonus, here are a couple of shots of the 2025 opening act, Billy Allen + The Pollies:

Thanks for stopping by.
